About Me

Hi, my name is Rattana and my nickname is Aor. I specialise in teaching foreigners and other visitors to the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai to learn to speak and understand the Thai language, as well as to appreciate the essential aspects of Thai culture and manners. I have been teaching Thai for over 8 years now. ​I work with individuals, couples and small groups at agreed locations, on days and times which are convenient to you. We can meet in person here in Chiang Mai, or conduct lessons over SKYPE if you are anywhere else in the world. ​We normally begin by quickly assessing your existing level of language skills (if any) and building a programme designed to help you reach your target level of competency. Some people simply prefer a series of casual lessons focusing on their particular needs or area of interest. Which ever approach you prefer, I use a combination of formal structured teaching and relaxed, interactive sessions to help you reach your goals as soon as possible. I enjoy teaching the Thai language and take great satisfaction from seeing my students quickly progress and building their fluency based on expanding their vocabulary and teaching correct grammar and pronunciation.
